Google finally brings Gboard to Android with the Keyboard Update

Back in May 2016, Google has launched an awesome keyboard app called Gboard for iOS devices, enabling the users to access Google Search right inside the app. But ironically, the app wasn’t available for its own mobile platform and the tech giant has promised that the keyboard app would someday make its way to Android, and we are happy to announce that the day has finally arrived.

Seven months after landing on iOS, Google is finally rolling out the Gboard for Android users. The app comes as version 6.0 update to the standard Google keyboard.

Just like iOS, the users can quickly find and share messages, type and search GIFs and emojis and browse online. This search-centric keyboard is designed with glide typing, and probably the best keyboard ever made.

In addition, Google has incorporated the G button (which can be enabled from the settings menu) for a quick search from the keyboard app.

For instance, when you are in the middle of a conversation, you can tap the button to open the search engine to look for information and also share those results with your friend, without leaving your current application.

Why Gboard ?

  • Get instant search result using the G Button.
  • Type and search emojis
  • Dedicated number row
  • Glide typing
  • Ability to insert GIFs

That’s not all, though. The Gboard also supports multiple languages. Now you will be able to use up to three different languages without manually switching between different modes. So if you happen to speak English with your family, but French with some of your friends, then this process would be the perfect seamless choice for you.
To conclude, Gboard is far way than a boring default keyboard, which has glide typing, built-in search engine, emoji search and packed with many useful features. Google will be releasing its 6.0 update over the next few days in the Google Play. However, if you are too interested to try out the Gboard, you can download it as an APK from Google.
Gboard is nothing but a pack of all your favorite text apps loaded onto a single location.
