Let’s Roll!

No #5 - Newsroom App

No more boring news website! No longer a passive audience! Yahoo has revamped its core app to a news app called ‘Newsroom’ with a social twist. The app allows the user to discover a range of topics under different forums or “vibes”. The user can read, post and interact on their favorite news articles, and over time it will display related news based on specific interests of the user. Yahoo Newsroom is now available on iOS and Android.

No #4 - Search Ads Campaign

Hakuna Matata
Listen up, small and independent developers! This news is going to be a game-changer for you. The Apple App store has launched the search ads campaign on 5th October. When the user searches for a keyword, the relevant search ads will display at the top of the results page. The company claims that nearly 65% of the app download is from the search results. So they decided to improve the app discoverability by displaying relevant ads. Moreover, Apple get paid by the developers only when the users tap on their apps.

No #3 - An App To Monitor The Air Pollution

The Environmental Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority for Delhi has launched a mobile app called “Hawa Badlo” meaning ‘Change the air’ to track the air pollution in the city. The app offers two versions - one allows the users to report the likely pollutants and the other app allows the authorities to enquire and take necessary measures to control it. Let’s appreciate Delhiites for fighting against air pollution with ‘Hawa Badlo’ app.

No #2 -  Facebook Conversation Topics

Facebook Messenger has added a new feature called ‘Conversation Topics’ which suggests you what to talk with your friends. Sounds weird. Right? The conversation topics appear beneath the friend’s list with many suggested topics about your friend’s recent activities. You can start a conversation about the movie which your friend has recently watched or ask about his/her summer vacation. Many users might not notice this new feature in your messenger app as it’s a test feature for its iOS users.

No# 1 - Whatsapp take on Snapchat

Whatsapp has recently updated and got overwhelming responses for its new features. One amongst the features is the camera feature which works as similar as Snapchat. It allows you to add plain as well as colored text onto your images and videos; change the font size; add emojis and stickers; zoom while you record; switch between the front and rear cameras and all that you can do on the Snapchat.

That’s all folks!
