Chrome 56 For Android Brings New Update

Released last week for Mac, Windows, and Linux, Google is now rolling out Chrome 56 for Android. But what makes it more quirky is the new update on performance improvement and the revised feature on ‘new tab’ pages.

Version:  56.0.2924.87
Platform: Android
Available On: Google Play Store (Updated)

With chrome 65, you can easily use an email/mobile number/address, just by tapping them in the web page. The ‘new tab’ page allows the user to easily access the downloaded files and even enables offline viewing. In addition, you can long press on an article to download it to your phone for offline view.

The new chrome version is aimed at stabilizing the fixes and improving the performance of the browser with new updates and a few minor changes to the existing web features. Chrome 56 will have a new reload behavior where the web page loads 28% faster with less power consumption and bandwidth.

Google adds a visual revamp to the ‘Touch to Search’, allowing the user to quickly open a recently searched page on its own tab. It also supports web bluetooth to communicate with nearby devices.

Besides offering updates and new features, the tech giant is also focusing on better user experience. Google has announced its optimization strategy on the chrome’s rendering pipeline in the last month, which resulted in a faster web experience for the users.

Chrome 56 will make its way to Playstore (updated) "over the course of the next week." For a better and faster user experience, go for it!
