Google has launched an online tool called ‘Android Taste Test’ to offer widgets, themes, and icons based on your preference. Though it gives the recommendation based on your preference, it doesn’t take matters completely in its hands, instead, allows you to choose the desired theme or icon.
All you need to do is to take the test. Simply answer the question and get the perfect theme for your phone. The rapid-fire questions are aimed at understanding your traits, based on which the online tool helps you find the right theme for your home screen. The online tool is available on the android website.
The set of rapid-fire question includes general queries like whether you prefer ‘Light’ or ‘Dark’, ‘Patterned’ or ‘Random’, ‘Modern’ or ‘Vintage’ and also asks whether you are a beginner or intermediate or an expert. In addition, some questions are intended to understand what type of tools you like to have on your home screen like weather, music app and news, too.
At the end of the questionnaire, Android Taste Test will provide with three customized themes for you to download the app. Interestingly, the tool also recommended ‘Gboard’ for every single time, which is a hidden promotion strategy for its products and thereby you can expect Google’s own product for widgets, weather, news, etc.
This move by Google may not be appealing to an average user, but for a novice or beginner, it is an interesting way to kick start their user experience in Android.
